Sheers
Sheer Curtains are made from transparent, lightweight material that acts as a light filter. Sheers still allow sunlight to enter into your room, but the fabric acts as a light diffuser, which softens the natural light and enhances the room atmosphere .
Sheer curtains are known for their ability to gently diffuse and offer privacy without obstructing scenic views. By introducing texture, sheer curtains offer a human touch to industrial spaces dominated by concrete, glass, and steel, while also imparting a soft tactile feel to the room. Additionally, these curtains safe-guard interiors from the damaging effects of UV rays, whilst enhancing indoor temperature regulation both day and night.
SHEER, SEMI, DIM-OUT, FULL
The terms sheer, semi, dim-out and full are used to distinguish the opacity and weight of fabrics. The weight is measured in grams per square meter (GSM), indicating the weight of one square meter of the fabric. Generally, fabrics with a higher GSM are denser and less transparent compared to thinner textiles.
A sheer refers to a fabric that is transparent, either due to its fine construction or loose weave with open fibres, enabling visibility through it.
A semi fabric is more tightly woven and allows light transmission, but provides more visual screening.
A dim-out fabric dramatically reduces light transmission into the room without achieving a complete light block out.
A full fabric typically refers to a solid face or backed fabric, likely densely woven, to ensure light transmission is blocked.
